I aim to to provide my students with a quality and contemporary art education. This means including aspects of a visual culture in the classroom, rather than teaching only the fine arts. It is my belief that limiting instruction to only traditional aesthetic practices is insufficient in a contemporary art classroom; it is my duty to incorporate aspects of visual culture into my teaching, enabling students to critically engage in a variety of discourses. I hope to instill in them a sense of enlightenment, self-accomplishment, and self-worth.
